What to include in your application

Give us your artist or act name, location, music styles, contact details and a clear biography. Add an official performance or music link that shows what an audience or venue can expect. For DJs, a representative mix is useful; singers, bands and musicians can share a live performance or an appropriate recording.

Explain the events you are comfortable playing, your usual performance length and any practical limitations. A clear account of your experience is more useful than a long list of claims. Applications are reviewed personally by Hakan.

Your profile, reviewed before publication

Applying does not automatically create a public listing. Accepted artists can have a profile with their biography, authorised photograph and performance links, giving prospective clients a place to discover their sound and enquire about them.

Your listing and the use of your photo, biography and links must be agreed before publication. Best DJ also publishes artist stories and music features at bestdj.org; editorial coverage and paid promotion are separate from roster selection.

Independence and clear commercial terms

Roster arrangements are independent and non-exclusive. You retain your music rights and can continue arranging your own work. Applying and joining are free. Best DJ receives 10% of the agreed performance fee actually paid for bookings it introduces and arranges, excluding VAT and separately itemised travel, accommodation and equipment charges. Independently sourced bookings carry no Best DJ commission.

Applications and basic roster membership are free; there is no recurring basic roster charge. An optional £49 annual enhanced-profile service adds biography preparation, hosted YouTube and Spotify players where available, and two content updates. It has separate approval and cancellation terms and is not required for booking consideration. Being listed does not guarantee bookings or a monthly income. Event suitability, availability and commercial terms are checked individually; the goal is a clear relationship that respects your identity and the client’s needs.
