Enquiries and availability
Submitting an enquiry is free and does not reserve a date or create a confirmed booking. Artist availability and suitability are assessed individually.
Your written agreement
Before you commit, we agree the artist, venue, date, performance times, equipment, travel, total fee, any deposit, payment dates and cancellation terms in writing. The specific booking agreement governs your event.
Sound, lighting and venue requirements
Equipment is not automatically included. Tell us what the venue supplies and what you need. Access, setup, sound limits, insurance requirements and performance arrangements are discussed before confirmation.
Artist application and roster terms
Free to apply. Free to join.
Applications are reviewed by Hakan. There is no application, joining or recurring basic roster fee. An optional enhanced profile is a separate £49 annual service under its own written terms. Buying it is not a condition of joining or being considered for bookings. Submitting an application does not confirm roster membership or guarantee bookings. A profile is published only after review and your approval.
10% when we secure a booking
Best DJ receives 10% of the agreed performance fee actually paid for each booking it introduces and arranges, including repeat bookings arranged through Best DJ. The calculation excludes VAT and separately itemised travel, accommodation and equipment charges; it is before your other costs. For a £500 performance fee, Best DJ receives £50 and your share is £450. No commission is charged on work you source independently.
Every booking agreed with you
You decide whether to accept each opportunity. Before confirmation, we agree the performance fee, commission, your share, payment dates, equipment, travel and cancellation terms in writing. We do not accept bookings on your behalf without your approval. Commission is collected from booking earnings, not charged for submitting this application. Any treatment of cancellation payments or refunds must be agreed in the individual booking terms.
Your independence and your music
The arrangement is non-exclusive. You can work with other agencies and arrange your own bookings. You retain your music rights and authorise only the approved profile materials to promote your act. Contact info@bestdj.org to update or remove your profile; commitments for already confirmed bookings remain subject to their written terms.
Your acceptance
Ticking the box confirms that you have read and agree to these application and roster terms if your application is accepted. We save the terms version and acceptance time with your application. Any change to the commission or commercial arrangement requires your agreement before it applies.
Optional enhanced profiles
Our £49 annual enhanced-profile service is optional and separate from free roster membership and booking consideration. Read the separate profile-service terms before choosing it.
